Stoneforge Hostess Will Be Remembered for Smile, Positive Attitude

What is usually a busy and vibrant time of the week turned into a somber atmosphere Friday afternoon at the Stoneforge in Easton.

Employees at the Washington Street restaurant learned of the tragic death of one of its hostesses.

"Everybody’s sad right now," Stoneforge manager Allen Lamere said. "It’s almost like it didn’t happen. People here can’t even believe that it actually happened."

Alexandra (Ali) Hamilton, 22-years-old,  died Friday from injuries sustained from an overnight accident with a diesel fuel truck on Turnpike Street.

Lamere said news of her death began to circulate amongst employees early in the afternoon.

"She was awesome," he said. "It’s so sad. She’d do anything for anybody."

Hamilton is the daughter of Easton Police Officer Steven Hamilton and a 2009 graduate of Oliver Ames High School.

"She’s from a really good family," Lamere said. "Her dad and her brother are both cops. It’s such a nice family and she’s just always smiling and always happy. It’s awful."

"She was always smiling and always positive," added Easton Police Chief Allen Krajcik.
