Two Local Charity Races Set For April
Temple Chayai Shalom and School on Wheels of Massachusetts will be hosting charity races next month.

As the warm weather approaches, it is time for locals to dust off those running shoes.
Two local organizations are hosting charity races this April.
The first race, a 5-mile run hosted by Temple Chayai Shalom in Easton will be held on Sunday, April 7. Registration is set for 8:30 am. with a start time at 9:30 a.m. A registration fee for 13-18 year-olds is $15. For participants 19 and above, the fee is $25.

"It’s the exact same course as the Thanksgiving Day Turkey Chase except it goes in the opposite direction," organizer Marty Weiner said. "It’s a terrific five-mile course that a lot of people know."
Those looking to participate but aren't looking for something quite as strenuous can participate in a 2-mile walk instead of the 5-mile run.

The TCS roadrace precedes School on Wheels' Annual Outrunning Homelessness 5K at Borderland State Park, which will be held at 9 a.m. on April 27.
The event, which helped raise over $20,000 last year, is $22 per person to participate. The course loops around Borderland's Leach Pond.
A 2.6 mile walk is also an option and participants have the option to form teams.
