Cape Cod Traffic: 3-Mile Backup At Sagamore Bridge
Latest Cape Cod traffic: long delays at the Sagamore Bridge, which is under repair and down to one lane in each direction.
BOURNE, MA — There were long delays at the Sagamore Bridge going out of Cape Cod Thursday night and the traffic nightmares are expected to continue until Memorial Day. As of 5:30 p.m., there was a 3-mile backup on Route 6 westbound leading up to the bridge. There was a mile-long backup in the opposite direction on the other side of the Cape Cod Canal.
The Sagamore Bridge is down to one lane in each direction as crews make repairs. The closures are expected to last until Memorial Day.
