Door-To-Door Solicitor Doesn't Work For Falmouth, Police Say
Police said a solicitor with a town ID asked for a woman's Eversource bill and email address.
FALMOUTH, MA — Police are cautioning residents about a door-to-door solicitor who misrepresented themselves as a town employee.
A resident of Minot Street said the solicitor came to her home wearing a lanyard with a town ID, asking for her Eversource bill and email address.
"The Town of Falmouth is not selling solar, and nobody selling solar (or any other product) door-to-door represents the Town of Falmouth," police said in a statement.
