'A Dynamic Duo, Especially At The Beach': Father's Day Photos

FALMOUTH, MA—Whether it's through his or her personality, looks, hobbies or a combination of everything, a son or daughter often takes on the qualities of the dad who raised them. With Father's Day 2018 right around the corner, we are celebrating that special bond by inviting Patch readers across Massachusetts to share their "father-son" or "father-daughter" lookalike photos.

It doesn't matter how old the kids are; they'll always be a chip off the old block.

This photo, submitted by Krissy Thompson, features her husband Mickey and their son Gavin Thompson in 2010 at Black Beach in Falmouth, MA. While the family has lived in Hilton Head Island in South Carolina for 15 years, they are originally from Falmouth.

Mick and Gavin are a little dynamic duo. When they are not at work (or school) they are surfing, kayaking, biking, paddle boarding; anything beach related! Mick is a dedicated dad who creates memories daily with Gavin and is the best father. I am blessed to have such an incredible role model for our son. He deserves to be celebrated on Dad's Day and year round! - Krissy Thompson
