“The Falmouth Police Detective Bureau received information about an assault that took place earlier that day. The victim stated that Mr. Andrews entered her vehicle with what appeared to be a firearm (revolver), pointed it at her, threatened to kill her, and pulled the trigger. Fortunately the weapon did not discharge. He then pointed the firearm out one of the vehicle’s windows and discharged it. Again, he pointed the firearm at her, and then demanded she drive him home.

“While the Detective Bureau was preparing a search warrant for Mr. Andrew’s residence on Pinecrest Beach Drive (East Falmouth) he left in his own motor vehicle. He was subsequently stopped at about 7 p.m. and placed under arrest without incident.

“The Detective Bureau then executed the search warrant and recovered what appeared to be a .38 Caliber Revolver (firearm). They also seized 285 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, and over $700 in cash. Mr. Andrews stated that the firearm was a ’blank gun.’ Blank firearms can still cause serious harm, nonetheless the firearm will be analyzed to determine its configuration (firearm or blank gun).”
