FALMOUTH, MA — Falmouth is expected to see its first real snowstorm of 2022 to end the week, with six to eight inches of snow expected to fall across the state from late Thursday night into Friday.

The greatest impacts are expected to be during the morning commute, when up to one inch of snow falling per hour will likely lead to minimal visibility and dangerous road conditions. Falmouth town officials asked residents to stay home if possible, especially during the morning hours, to allow plows to clear the roads. Falmouth has a winter on-street parking ban in place, which forbids parking on the street between midnight and 6 a.m.

In Falmouth, all students will have a snow day Friday. After school activities, including the YMCA program, are also canceled.
