Falmouth Tip Leads To Murder Discovery: Police

Vermont police said they are searching for Leroy Headley after a woman was found murdered thanks to a tip from a Falmouth resident.

SOUTH BURLINGTON, VT — A woman was found murdered in Vermont Thursday thanks to a tip from a Falmouth, Massachusetts, resident, according to police. The accused murderer is the woman's boyfriend — Leroy Headley, 36, of South Burlington, according to police. Headley was still at large Friday and police said he may be operating a 2017 blue Nissan Pathfinder with Vermont license plates reading HBR 281. Anyone with information is asked to contact South Burlington police at 802-598-3528.

Police said the woman was found shot to death on Southview Drive in South Burlington. One of Headley's family members in Falmouth called officers Thursday night and said Headley called him and told him he shot his girlfriend, police said.
