Falmouth's COVID-19 Positivity Rate Drops Below 5%
Though dropping, positivity rates for COVID-19 in Falmouth and much of Cape Cod remain higher than the state average.
FALMOUTH, MA — Falmouth's coronavirus metrics continued to improve, though numbers still remain above the state average, according to data the Massachusetts Department of Public Health released Thursday.
Falmouth's positive test rate fell from 6.14 percent to 4.68 percent. As of Thursday, the positive test rate statewide was 2.21 percent.

The town had 71 cases in the last two weeks, or 16.3 daily cases per 100,000 residents. That's down from last week's rate of 26.8.
The state also reported that Falmouth has 80.9 percent of its residents fully vaccinated. More than 48 percent of Falmouth residents have gotten the booster.
