Falmouth Man Killed In Route 151 Crash; 3 Hurt

Falmouth police said Roger Hoar, 70, of Falmouth, was killed in a crash on Route 151. Three others were injured.

FALMOUTH, MA — A Falmouth man was killed and three others were injured in a crash in Falmouth Wednesday afternoon on Route 151. The deceased was identified as Roger Hoar, 70. The crash happened near Sam Turner Road at about 12:10 p.m.

Falmouth police Lieutenant Douglas DeCosta said Hoar was a passenger in a BMW driven by Marc Mardirosian, 62, of Falmouth. Mardirosian was driving west on Route 151 when he "attempted to turn left onto Sam Turner Road in front of a 2006 Ford F350 pickup traveling east on Route 151 towards Mashpee and a collision occurred," DeCosta said in a statement.

Mardirosian suffered critical injuries and was medflighted to Rhode Island Hospital. The two pickup truck occupants suffered minor injuries and were treated at Falmouth Hospital and released.

"Upon arrival, officers determined two vehicles were involved in the crash and all the occupants were injured," DeCosta said in a statement. "All of the injured were transported to Falmouth Hospital by Falmouth Fire & Rescue ... One of the passengers later died at the hospital."

Falmouth police and State Police continuing to investigate the crash.

The sections of Route 151 and Sam Turner Road near the crash were closed and reopened Wednesday at about 4:15 p.m.
