It's officially summertime on Cape Cod. That means tourists, vacation, traffic, beach days...and soaring gas prices.
Next time before you fill up or wander around town comparing prices, check out AOL's database of the cheapest gas around you. Simply search your zipcode to find convenient ways to save.
At the time of publication, Johnny's Tune & Lube on Route 28 was the cheapest, at $3.49 a gallon. Compare that to $3.60 a gallon at the Mobil on Palmer Avenue. That's an 11-cent difference.
If you had a 12-gallon tank, you could save $1.32 by simply filling up at the cheaper location. If you fill up once a week with the same savings ratio, that's about $5 in savings per month, enough for a few extra coffees or ice cream cones.
