No Injuries In Cape Cod Garage Fire

Six departments responded to the scene of an Eastham fire on Friday night. No one inside the home was hurt.

EASTHAM, MA — An Eastham garage fire brought departments from five surrounding towns to extinguish it, officials said.

On Friday, just before 7 p.m., the Eastham Fire Department responded to a reported garage fire at 280 South Sunken Meadow Rd.

Crews found a two-story attached garage in flames, prompting a bigger presence from around the Cape, including departments from Orleans, Wellfleet, Brewster, Harwich and Dennis.

Residents of the home were able to exit without injury, and no firefighters were injured while extinguishing the fire.
