Obituary: Former Falmouth DPW Director Raymond Jack

Raymond Jack served as the Department of Public Works director until 2019. He also served as a professor at Cape Cod Community College.

FALMOUTH, MA — Raymond Jack, Sr., the longtime Falmouth Department of Public Works director, died on June 17, according to an online obituary.

Born in Philidelphia, Jack served in the military police division of the U.S. Army before moving into the public works space.

He lived in Falmouth for nearly three decades and retired from the Falmouth DPW in 2019. But that was only part of his legacy on Cape Cod.

Jack was a professor at Cape Cod Community College, teaching advanced water and wastewater technology. He also taught for the Massachusetts Water Works Association, according to the obituary.

Even in retirement, Jack remained active with the Cape Cod Water Protection Collaborative, Board of Managers Upper Cape Regional Transfer, the Upper Cape Water Supply Collaborative and worked with Joint Base Cape Cod. He also served as a consultant for the town of Mashpee.
