Massachusetts golf course solar farm plan has some residents concerned (usatoday.com) — A major solar farm proposed for the Cape Cod Country Club in East Falmouth is raising questions about fire safety, noise, groundwater protection, and neighborhood impacts as it moves through town review. Falmouth Town Meeting has backed a land-ownership partnership for the project, while the Planning Board works on conditions covering issues like sound studies, water monitoring, and visual screening before a continued hearing on January 13, 2026.
   

2. Library Seeks Donations Of Fabric, Yarn (capenews.net) — Woods Hole Public Library is gearing up for its annual Fabric and Fiber Sale on Sunday, February 8, and is asking local crafters to donate usable fabric, yarn, and notions. Started in honor of Falmouth’s beloved former Fabric Corner shop, the sale now raises vital operating funds while keeping textiles out of the waste stream.

Rare deer spotted, condo project, Falmouth YMCA: Top stories (capecodtimes.com) — Falmouth is a step closer to its first YMCA branch, with construction underway on the Don & Dottie Smith YMCA and most of the $42.5 million goal already raised. The roundup also highlights a rare piebald deer sighting, a controversial Provincetown condo parking plan, and a report on Cape Cod’s stressed bays and ponds.

Sandwich/BMC's Stutzman tallies three assists and a goal in win (capecodtimes.com) — Falmouth Academy’s girls basketball team features twice in this Cape-wide high school roundup, including a gritty 27–19 win over Sturgis West that kept the Mariners undefeated behind standout efforts from Elyse Sharpe and Faye McGuire.
