Proposed Falmouth Police Station Gets Community Forum
The proposed timeline calls for Town Meeting consideration of police station construction funds in the fall of 2026.
FALMOUTH, MA — A community outreach forum is scheduled this week to give the public a first opportunity to hear about the status of a proposed new police station.
The forum is scheduled for Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Lawrence Middle School Auditorium at 113 Lakeview Ave., in Falmouth.
Representatives of the Police Station Advisory Committee, Police Department, as well as the owner’s project manager (OPM) and architect, will provide a presentation to review the results of the feasibility study and concept level designs, including site selection, concept level cost estimates and project timeline, officials said.

Following the presentation, the public will be invited to ask questions and provide input on the site selection and conceptual designs.
“This is the first of many opportunities the community will have to weigh in on the proposal to replace the existing undersized police station with a state-of-the-art facility that reflects the importance of public safety and the Falmouth Police Department to the community,” said Town Manager Mike Renshaw.

The primary focus of this forum is to solicit input on site selection, officials said. A request for funds to continue the design process from schematic design through construction bidding will be considered at the Town Meeting on Nov. 17.
“There will be more opportunities for public input as we continue the design process in calendar year 2026, provided Town Meeting approves funding this November,” said Renshaw.
The proposed timeline calls for Town Meeting consideration of construction funds in the fall of 2026.
