Scenes From Monday Storm In Falmouth
Strong winds brought road closures and downed trees while Cape Cod also dealt with coastal flooding on Monday.

FALMOUTH, MA — Coastal flooding, downed power lines and trees across roadways highlighted the list of problems facing communities across Cape Cod on Monday.
A storm brought intense winds and coastal flooding that caused headaches for the area, including in Falmouth.
Wind gusts across the Cape reached up to 63 mph, according to the National Weather Service, which recorded that gust in Hyannis.

One road remains closed in Falmouth on Tuesday.
Carriage Shop Road just north of the intersection with Fresh Pond Road is closed for a snapped utility pole, which was the result of a rollover crash, police said. The road will remain closed until Eversource officials can repair the pole.

Thomas Landers Road was also closed on Monday, with officials working late into the night to repair a snapped utility pole that was dangerously "swaying in the wind," police said.
As of 5 p.m., police were still receiving calls of coastal flooding and vehicles being stranded in the water, officials said.
