Snow, followed by rain

The old adage is true: If you don't like the weather on Cape Cod, wait.

There is a winter advisory for Falmouth and the rest of the Cape today as snow will fall from mid morning to mid afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Falmouth is expected to get two to four inches of snow. Isolated parts of the Cape and the South Shore might get six to eight inches of snow. Snow is expected to fall until 4 p.m. and then followed by rain and a 30 percent chance of snow around 9p.m. tonight.

Be careful driving, as the ground is cold and the streets are icy underneath the snow.
