Duct Tape Art 101 Duct tape can create some pretty incredible things, like prom dresses and iPod cases. Children ages eight and up can get their fingers sticky and learn how to make unique duct-tape creations, just in time for the Fourth of July. $2 materials fee per child. When and where: 11 a.m. on Saturday at the West Falmouth Library.

Giant Yard Sale Wings for Falmouth Families, a community charity, will be selling everything from lawn furniture to toys. Benefits proceed the charity. When and where: 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday at 279 Brick Kiln Rd. in East Falmouth.

K-9 5K Trail Run Grab a leash, your dog and get running with the fourth annual The event is hosted by CapeK9Cardio, a dog-exercise and pet-sitting company.The mission of the K-9 5K is to raise money for local dog organizations while encouraging people to enjoy a good form of exercise with their dogs. Dogs are optional. Events also include a mile-long walk. When and where: Registration begins at 7:15 a.m. on Saturday, and the run begins at 8:30 a.m. in Beebe Woods.
