West Nile Virus Reported In Cape Cod Mosquito Sampling
It's the second time this summer that a positive sampling was found in this Cape Cod town.
FALMOUTH, MA — Another case of West Nile Virus has been detected in a mosquito sampling taken from Falmouth.
On July 29, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported that a sample collected on that day included a positive test. The sample was taken from a location in the area of Siders Pond.
The Cape Cod Mosquito Control Project collects routine mosquito samples as part of MDPH’s surveillance program for mosquito-borne diseases, officials said.
