What Will You Buy This Weekend?

Massachusetts is taking a holiday from its 6.25 percent sales tax this weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, items for sale under $2500 will be free from tax, excluding restaurant meals and tobacco.

While this weekend, will you buy something just because you don't have to pay sales tax?

Tobacco, restaurant meals and single items costing $2500 or more will still be taxed.

And, this begs the question: Do you tip on tax? I say "No." The husband says that I am "cheap."
