Northeastern released the following statement regarding the incident:
“Late this afternoon, an isolated shooting took place on Huntington Avenue near Gainsborough Street. Neither the victim nor the suspects are believed to have any connection with the university, and there is no imminent threat to the Northeastern community. The university notified the campus immediately and urged people to avoid the area. Northeastern Police are coordinating with Boston Police in responding to the incident.”
