Comm Ave Bridge Project: BU, Comm Ave Bridges Reopen To Cars
It took two weeks, but the bridges are finally open to cars again.

FENWAY, MA — It's time for that collective sigh of relief: The Commonwealth Avenue and BU bridges officially reopened today to all lanes of traffic. And the B line is back, and that even tad ahead of schedule.
Throughout the past two weeks drivers dealt with restricted lanes and subsequent traffic on the Mass Pike backed up for miles. They also had to maneuver detours around Comm Ave in the Brookline and Boston area as crews worked to reconstruct the second half of the aging bridge.
Service along the MBTA Green B Line , between Blandford and Babcock streets, was also interrupted by construction.

If you feel like singing, that's ok: Ding dong the construction's (mostly) done. I've definitely It means for a less frustrating commute on Monday.
Although the bridge has been reopened, there may be some delays during non-peak times as crews finish minor projects, including paving sidewalks and adding pavement markers, according to MassDOT.

At 5AM this morning two-way traffic was restored on @MassDOT's #CommAveBridge. Detours and diversions are being broken down and all travel will be restored over the next few hours. Great job by the men and women of MassDOT and Walsh Construction! @thebiggreenw pic.twitter.com/jPJzBUEP1H

The men and women of @MassDOT have worked tirelessly 24/7 to replace the #CommAveBridge and minimize the impact on the local community. Great work to replace this critical structure in the heart of Boston! pic.twitter.com/PoHPdHukgZ
