Federal, Postal Agents Search Doctor's Home Thursday

Dr. Richard Keller charged with receiving child pornography.

 

Federal agents, postal investigators and local law enforcement were searching the home of Dr. Richard Keller earlier on Thursday in connection with his arrest and charges of child pornography, according to one neighbor.

Keller was Keller allegedly received roughly 50 DVDs of child pornography by mail.

Federal agents descended on his 10 Cyr Circle home today to search for the allegedly child porn.

According to neighbor Mary Carbone, Keller moved to Cyr Circle about a year ago and has an infant son. She said that Keller would often walk around the neighborhood with his newborn son and would sometimes make small talk.

Carbone said she saw federal agents, postal agents and a few local law enforcement vehicles stop by the home earlier on Thursday and search the building. 

Keller was also the medical director for 19 years before he stepped down in 2011.

Two Phillips Academy students said that he had apparently stepped down from his position last year due to his wife, Terry, and their newborn son.

According to a court affidavit, he allegedly had some of the child pornography delivered to addresses at Phillips Academy.
