Fenway Park Hosts Military Veterans Event Friday

Participating veterans will receive on-the-field training courtesy Red Sox hitting coach.

Days before we celebrate the Fourth, Fenway Park is honoring United States' veterans on the field Friday.

In partnership with sponsor CVS Health, the Boston Red Sox will host military veterans for on-field batting practice led by the team's Hitting Coach Chili Davis and Assistant Hitting Coach Victor Rodriguez, lunch in the Red Sox dugout, photos in front of the Green Monster and a VIP tour of the historic ballpark.

Participating veterans will also get early entry to pre-game batting practice and receive tickets to the evening’s game. The program is for veterans participating in the CVS Health Baseball Camp through the New England Center for Homeless Veterans and the 1st Lieutenant Derek Hines Soldiers Assistance Foundation.
