Finally: 'Next Train' Info Comes to Green Line

The 100-year-old Green Line will get a 21st Century upgrade at Kenmore Station.

After about 100 years, the Green Line's Kenmore Station will get a major upgrade on Thursday when monitors displaying information about incoming trains will be installed.

The electronic message boards will provide information and wait times for the various branches of the Green Line, a feature the MBTA has already unveiled on the Red, Blue and Orange Lines.

To celebrate the new development, the MBTA will be bringing in Celtics rookie Kelly Olynyk to ride from Kenmore Square to North Station.
