Police: Man Tried to Steal Vodka Bottle from House of Blues

Boston Police officers responded to reports of a heated argument at the House of Blues at 1:30 a.m. on October 28.

According to the police report, the argument had escalated to the point where pedestrians were avoiding the sidewalk. Officers broke up the argument and asked the staffers what had gone on.

The staff members told the officers that the suspect had been caught trying to steal a fifth of Kettle One Vodka from the bar. According to police, the suspect was then asked to leave the club and the argument broke out.

Officers repeatedly told the suspect to leave the area. The suspect reportedly refused. The suspect reportedly told officers that he had rights and “this is what it’s like to be a black man in America.”

Officers advised the suspect to leave the scene or he would be arrested. The suspect then took out his cell phone and began filming and walking around Lansdowne Street, which blocked traffic, according to police.

Officers arrested Joshua Salomon of 499 Huntington Ave. and charged him with disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.
