Massachusetts, Oregon Each Install Markers Commemorating Route 20
The 3,365 mile road runs between Boston and Newport.

BOSTON, MA – On Thursday, Newport, Oregon, and Boston, Massachusetts, will come together miles apart, formally marking a 3,365-mile connection that few people know exist.
The nation's longest continuous road, Route 20, connects the two towns.
Signage installed Thursday in Boston and in Newport will commemorate the connection.

In Boston, Mass. Department of Transportation officials will plant our eastern-end marker at the intersection of Comm Ave westbound and Kenmore Street, in Kenmore Square, during a ceremony Thursday morning at 9 a.m., ET.
