A student met the officers and told police that she had had an argument with a man who had just left her apartment. She said that the two were not dating and that he was not a student at Northeastern. Officers observed several scattered items throughout the apartment. The student stated that the fight had been purely verbal and that it never got physical. The student stated that she thought the suspect was living in his car near by.
While talking with the caller, officers heard a noise in the stairwell and a man stumbled into the apartment and sat down in a chair. The student had a cut on his head and was incoherent. Officers reported that the man was also not wearing a shirt. When officers asked what had happened, the man said that the caller had thrown a water bottle at his head. Officers tried to find out what had happened, but the man only said that the caller had struck him in the head with a water bottle and that he wanted to go to sleep.
