Fenway celebrated National Night Out on Tuesday Evening.
Neighborhoods nation wide held block parties for the National Night Out, America’s Night out Against Crime. The Fenway celebration took place in the Seventh Day Adventist Church Parking Lot on Tuesday evening.
“This is a great way to get to know the neighbors, but we also tell the criminals these are our street at the same time,” organizer Matti Kniva Spencer said. “This is a big event for West Fenway. It brings the families together.”
Spencer has been organizing the Night Out for 10 years. “I always went to them,” Spencer said. “One year I was asked to organize it. I thought I would do it once. But here I am, 10 years later.”
