Police: Argument Over Noise Turned into a Fight on Commonwealth Avenue
Police broke up a brawl in the Fenway neighborhood on Wednesday.

What started as an argument over noise became a fight.
Boston Police responded to an assault and battery in progress at 722 Commonwealth Avenue at about 4:07 p.m. on July 31.

Officers arrived and talked to the victim, who told police that his roommate had been too loud at late hours of the night. This day was the first time that he addressed the noise issue. An argument about the noise ensued and the victim said that the suspect jumped out of his chair and threw a punch at him. The victim ducked most of the punch, and avoided the full force of the blow, but sustained a scratch on his face.
The suspect told police that he and the victim were arguing and there was a fight. The suspect told police that the victim grabbed his shirt and tore it. Officers determined that this was a defensive measure.

Officers charged Zhao Yizhou of 135, West Lorain Street, Oberlin, Ohio with assault and battery.
