Police: Man Attacked Drivers with Nightstick Over Double-Parking Incident

Police are on the lookout for a suspect who allegedly attacked a victim with a nightstick on Wednesday evening over a parking space.

The following information was supplied by the Boston Police Department. Any arrests mentioned do not indicate convictions.

An instance of double-parking turned violent on Huntington Avenue on Wednesday evening.

Boston Police officers responded to a report of an assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on the street near 281 Huntington Avenue at 4:58 p.m.

When officers arrived, the caller was nowhere to be found. Officers contacted the victim via their cell phone and spoke to the victim. The victim told officers that a vehicle had double-parked and blocked him and a co-worker in. 

When the victim asked the driver to move, the driver reportedly became irate. The victim said that the driver got out of the car with a large black nightstick and struck him. The victim said that he was able to avoid the brunt of the attack and did not need medical attention.

The suspect was described as a black male, about 6’, 215lbs wearing black jeans and a grey sweatshirt.
