Things to Know in Fenway-Kenmore Today, Dec. 5: West Fenway Tree Lighting
Here are a few things happening in Fenway-Kenmore and nearby today.

1. Weather: The National Weather Service is predicting a rainy day with a high near 55 degrees. There's an 100 percent chance of precipitation, so bring an umbrella today.
2. West Fenway Tree Lighting: The Fenway Civic Association is presenting a holiday musical perfomance featuring Luke Sairattanyu & Friends from the Berklee College of Music at our Annual West Fenway Christmas Tree Lighting on December 5th at 6:30, outside the Kelleher Rose Garden (across from 77 Park Drive). There will be cookies, cocoa, carols, and a special appearance by Santa. See here for more information.
3. Deck the House - You can win $100,000 for Boston Public Schools (and $500 for your electicity bill) just by snapping a photo of your home decorated for the holidays! Or, know of a fantasticly decorated home in Fenway-Kenmore? Let them know to enter!

4. Upcoming Craft Fair: The annual Craftboston Holiday show is coming back to the South End this weekend. Held at The Cyclorama at The Boston Center for the Arts (539 Tremont St.), the show features more than 90 artists, all selling unique, one-of-a- kind and limited edition pieces in ceramics, decorative fiber, wearables, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper, and wood. Tickets are $15 each and are on sale now. See here for more information.
5. Pedestrian Walkway on Charles Closed: The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) will close access to the pedestrian walkway over the Charles River Dam Locks, adjacent to Paul Revere Park and Lovejoy Wharf, from Dec. 4 through Dec. 12. Pedestrians are advised to use alternate routes such as the North Washington Street bridge during this time.
