Things to Know in Fenway-Kenmore Today, Dec. 6: Gifts and Wrapping Event at West Elm

1. Weather: The National Weather Service is predicting a sunny day with a high near 40 degrees.  

2. 4. "Be the Match" Donor Drive: 29-year-old Richard Graham is looking to receive a stem cell transplant to help treat his Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), a disease of bone marrow where the marrow does not produce enough healthy cells. The only problem is, he is yet to find a match. Cure4Rich is holding a bone marrow/stem cell drive on Friday from 12-4  at the Office of the Jury Commissioner (560 Harrison Avenue, 6th floor) through Be The Match (www.bethematch.org). This drive not only supports Rich, but thousands of others who are in need of a blood stem cell transplant. See here for more details. 

5. Of Mice and Men Opens This Weekend: Coming to the BCA Plaza Theatre (539 Tremont St.) from Dec. 7 to Dec. 22 is a theatrical adaptation of John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men. Performances are Thursdays at 7:30pm, Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 2pm and 8pm and Sundays at 2pm. Tickets $25 students -$30.
