Things to Know in the Fenway-Kenmore Today, April 8: Red Sox Opening Day
Here's what's happening in Fenway-Kenmore today to celebrate the Red Sox home opener at Fenway Park.

1. Weather: The National Weather Service is predicting a mostly sunny day with a high of 61 degrees.
2. Opening Day: You can bet there'll be a lot of hubub in the Fenway-Kenmore neighborhood today, because it's opening day at Fenway Park. There'll be many companies in the area giving away free prices, like RCN, who will be giving away tickets to the upcoming Fall Out Boy concert at the House of Blues on May 25, and other giveaways like a signed jersey from Hall of Famer Jim Rice. 4. Can You Eat That? Ever wondered if that berry growing on the tree outside on the streets of Boston is actually safe to eat? Tonight from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at at the Boston Center for Adult Education (122 Arlington St.) Executive Chef Josh Lewin of the Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro will teach students about the many edible herbs and plants available right here in New England.
