Things to Know in Fenway-Kenmore Today, Dec. 21: Holiday Party for Residents at Neighborhoods

1. Weather: The National Weather Service is predicting today will be rainy, cloudy and windy with a high near 49 degrees. Winds could gust as high as 49 mph, and the chance of precipitation is 100 percent.

2. Holiday Party at Neighborhoods:  The neighborhood's newest coffee shop, Neighborhoods (96 Peterborough St.) is hosting a small get-together for long-time residents of the neighborhood on Sunday from 5-7 p.m. Stop by and meet other neighbors and enjoy carolers, free coffee, half-off baked goods. 3. Christmas at Church: Celebrate the holidays at Fenway Church, the church that meets in a bar called Church (69 Kilmarnock St.) Enjoy carols, coffee, scripture reading, Christmas messages, cookies and community on Saturday at 11 a.m. See here for more information.

4. World-ending Party: For a night of entertainment tonight, join rising Afro-pop stars Kina Zoré, Federator No. 1and Endangered Speeches for a dance party and costume party from 8 p.m. - 1 a.m. at Church of Boston (69 Kilmarnock St.)  Tickets are $12. 

5. A few days off: Your trusty editor will be taking a few days off from Fenway-Kenmore Patch this weekend, Monday and Tuesday, but don't let that fool you - we'll still have lots of great, local articles on the site for you to read over the weekend and early next week.
