Top Ten Fenway-Kenmore Stories from 2012

A look back at the year in news in the Fenway-Kenmore neighborhood.

There are only a few days left in 2012, and as the new year approaches it becomes time once again to look back at the year that was—the Fenway-Kenmore stories that shocked, stirred and sparked conversation around the community.

Here they are, the most-read Fenway-Kenmore Patch stories of 2012:

10. Comm. Ave in Allston Closed for Free Aerosmith Concert - Although it didn't happen in Fenway-Kenmore, many of you were still interested in the free Aerosmith concert that happened in early November on Commonwealth Avenue.

9. - We don't know much about what happened on the night that Cambridge resident Pedro Colon-Rodriguez died, but we do know more about his life and who he was. 

8. PHOTOS: Bruce Springsteen and the Van Ness Street Fans - Fans lined up in the streets near Fenway Park to catch a glimpse at The Boss himself.

7. Investigators Search for Clues in Missing Student's Death - Missing graduate student Jonathan Dailey was found dead in the Charles River in October. Police said the events leading up to his death are still unclear.

6. - Part of the on-going coverage of the bodies found in the Charles River in October. A missing 23-year-old graduate student was not the first body found in the Charles the week that he went missing in Boston. 

5. Bomb Threat Received at Match School on Comm. Ave-  In September, Boston Police investigated a potential bomb threat at the Match School located at 1001 Commonwealth Avenue. No bomb was found in the building. 

4. Man's Body Found Near Fens  - Just last week, Boston Police reported a 59-year-old man was found with stab wounds in the Fens near 59 The Fenway. There is still an active investigation into the man's death.

3.  - Many of you were interested in the annual Head of the Charles regatta that sets up shop along the Chalres River each year near the BU bridge. 

2. Body Found in Charles River Identified - Back in October, two bodies were found in the Charles within two days of one another. The first was the body of 69-year-old Pedro Colon, who authorities say fell into the Charles River and died.

1. Bicyclist Killed in Accident on Comm. Ave - A 23-year-old bicyclist was struck and killed in an accident with a tractor trailor truck on Commonwealth Avenue in early December.
