Toy Donations Wanted at Boston Children's Hospital

The hospital is hosting a new Holiday Toy Store for parents of patients to pick out a toy for their kids.

Boston Children's Hospital has launched a new holiday toy drive for their patients this holiday season.

The idea is that residents of the neighborhood can drop off a new and unused toy at the hospital anytime from now through December 19th. Then, starting Dec. 21st, the parents of patients at Boston Children’s Hospital can come and choose special items for their sons and daughters free of charge.

“In keeping with our strong and constant emphasis on family centered care, parents and guardians who otherwise would not have time to leave the hospital in order to experience holiday shopping will now be able to “shop” for items for their hospitalized child,” said Beth Donegan Driscoll, director of Child Life Services for the hospital. “This will empower families, to provide a holiday that is as much like “home” as possible,”
