Two Men Charged with Threatening People with BB Gun and Baseball Bat

Police responded to a fight on Beacon Street and arrested two people for alleged assault with a dangerous weapon early on Saturday morning.
Officers responded to reports of a fight in the area of 822 Beacon Street at 2:05 a.m. on Saturday, January 5.
While en route to the incident, officers observed the suspect's vehicle turning from Mountfort Street onto Beacon Street. The officers pulled their vehicle in front of the suspect’s car and drew their weapons. The driver was taken out of the vehicle, handcuffed and patted down.

Officers spoke to the victim, who stated that he and a friend were leaving Tequila Rain on Lansdowne Street when he and the suspects exchanged words in the parking lot behind 16 Minor Street. The victim told police the suspect brandished a wooden handled rifle from his car, and the second suspect came out of the vehicle with a belt around his hand. The first suspect began to bang the rifle on the car, the victim told police, noting he thought that the rifle may be a pelt gun or bb gun.
The witness told police he saw one of the suspects pull out a rifle and start hitting the victim’s vehicle with it. The suspect then put the gun away and pulled out a baseball bat. The second suspect took off his belt and folded it over as a weapon. The suspect with the belt on his hand kept shouting that he was a “Townie.”

Officers arrested the two suspects. Jarrod Romero of 28 Park Ave, Hull, Ma was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, gun, assault with a dangerous weapon, baseball bat and a uniform citation for the marijuana.
Amir Khan of Winchendon, MA was charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon and giving a false name to the police during the booking process.
Police searched the vehicle and found a wood-handled BB gun, a baseball bat and a glass jar containing marijuana.
