The upscale grocery chain will open a location in the Fenway-Kenmore neighborhood, Mayor Menino announced on Monday morning.

A new grocery store is coming to the Fenway neighborhood, Mayor Menino announced on Monday.

The new store will be Wegmans, an upscale regional grocery chain that has recently been expanding in Massachusetts. It will be located in Landmark Center at the intersection of Park Drive, Brookline Avenue, and Boylston Street.

Menino made the announcement at a meeting of the Boston Municipal Research Bureau.

“We are very interested in a site in the Fenway neighborhood," Natale said. "Discussions with the developer are underway, and we anticipate that an acceptable agreement can be reached in the near future.”

There's currently no timeline or any word on where exactly the new grocery store would go in the Landmark Center.
