FOXBORO, MA — The Patriots are in great position to make the playoffs heading into Week 12, but their opponent, the Cincinatti Bengals, will need all the help they can get to do the same.

That's why this week's column starts with a major surprise: Joe Burrow is listed as questionable for the Week 12 matchup. Burrow has been out for most of the year due to injury, and originally targeted a Thanksgiving return.

Whether or not he plays could be a big deal, especially given a one-game suspension for star wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase.

Former Patriots wide receiver Stanley Morgan could see himself get into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this cycle.

The Hall of Fame announced that Morgan is one of nine semifinalists in the Senior Category for the Class of 2026, a group for players whose careers ended more than 25 years ago.

According to the team site, Morgan spent 13 seasons with New England, from 1977 to 1989 when he set, and still holds, the franchise record for all-time receiving yards, 10,352. He was inducted into the Patriots team Hall of Fame in 2007.

A speedster, Morgan ended his career with 72 touchdown catches and averaged 19.2 yards per catch, the highest career average for any receiver with at least 500 catches in NFL history.

Coaching Candidate Developing

Patriots assistant coach Thomas Brown is getting some major buzz ahead of the head coaching cycle in the NFL.

Brown, who spent an odd last season in Chicago, where he served as interim head coach for a time, has found success with this New England team and has now been listed by NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero as one of 24 young head coaching candidates to watch.
