  • Be sure to tell your kids why Labor Day is recognized and that it is in honor you - Moms and Dads that work so hard all year long. This is why we celebrate with outings, barbecues and parades.

Supplies

  • Old magazines
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Thick paper or poster-board
  • Markers (to decorate your collage)
  1. Cut a variety of pictures of workers from old magazines.
  2. Glue the pictures artistically onto the paper or poster-board.
  3. Decorate the collage using markers.

For older students: Label each of your pictures and write a paragraph (on a separate piece of paper) about the profession(s) pictured in your collage.
