Bob Kraft Visits Incarcerated Rapper Meek Mill

Kraft called the situation that led to the rapper ending up behind bars, "just sad."

CHESTER, PA — Patriots owner Robert Kraft is joining rapper Meek Mill's fight for justice.

Kraft, along with Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils co-owner Michael Rubin, visited Mill, who is behind bars in State Correctional Institute (SCI)-Chester in Pennsylvania. Mill is serving two to four years in prison for various probation violations for gun and weapons violations from 2007.

Kraft told reporters outside the prison that the situation is "just sad."

"This guy's a great guy. (He) shouldn't be here," he said, according to NBC Philadelphia.

Mill remains behind bars despite the fact that the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office does not oppose Mill being released on bail. Mill's attorneys have filed motions for a release and have accused the judge overseeing the case of holding a grudge and being infatuated with the rapper.

The move continues what appears to be a social justice streak from Kraft. Prior to the "March for Out Lives" in Washington D.C., Kraft allowed members of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School community to use the Patriots team plane to travel to and from the march.
