eSports Camp Planned For Patriot Place
Forget traditional sports camps, this one lets you play Fortnite and Overwatch.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Remember when parents used to send their kids to camp to get them away from video games? Forget hikes and playing basketball, there's a new day camp coming to Patriot Place where you can play Fortnite and Overwatch all day.
Asylum Gaming & eSports (A.G.E.), along with Showcase Live and Patriot Place, announced Wednesday that they will hold an eSports camp for kids who can't get enough of the popular games. A press release describes the week-long camp as an “eSports boot camp” that's designed to give campers a look at professional gaming. Campers can expect professional coaching sessions and industry discussions about both video games.
"We feel this is a tremendous opportunity for today's gamers to experience real-time pro coaching on games that are sweeping the world," Norm Laviolette, CEO of A.G.E., said in a release. “We are excited to partner with National Amusements and Showcase Live on bringing this incredible camp to the future pros of New England.”
