UPDATE: Injured Hiker Found at F. Gilbert Hills State Forest; Transported to Norwood Hospital

Ambulance transported the injured hiker to Norwood Hospital after reportedly suffering a torn quadricep muscle Saturday at F. Gilbert Hills State Forest off Mill Street in Foxborough.

Foxborough Fire & Emergency personnel have located the injured hiker at F. Gilbert Hills State Forest off Mill Street and transported him to Norwood Hospital after reportedly suffering a torn quadricep muscle Saturday, according to reports.

The Foxborough Fire Department issued a full department recall just after 4 p.m. Saturday to search for the injured hiker, who was described as a male in his 20s reportedly suffering from a torn quadricep muscle, according to reports.

Due to difficult terrain at the state forest, Foxborough Fire called for additional manpower to assist in the search just before 4:30 p.m. Roughly 20 minutes later, Foxborough Fire reported it had located the injured hiker and was transporting him to Norwood Hospital. The hiker was reportedly conscious and alert but unable to walk due to his injury.

Foxborough Fire was able to remain in contact with the injured hiker by phone during the search.
