Gillette Stadium to Open as First Mass Vaccine Site in the State
The site will open for first responders on Monday, Jan. 18. They plan to start by administering 300 vaccines per day.

Foxborough, MA — The first mass vaccination site in Massachusetts will be at Gillette Stadium, Gov. Charlie Baker announced Tuesday. It will open for first responders on Monday, Jan. 18.
"Gillette plans to start out doing 300 vaccines per day, but is going to build up to administering 5,000 vaccines per day and potentially much bigger numbers than that over time," Baker said.
Those who are eligible for a vaccine will be able to register on the state’s website and at CIC Health’s website. CIC Health is operating the site and Brigham and Women’s Hospital is the medical director.

"These vaccines are safe and effective, and millions of doctors, nurses, and health care workers are getting vaccinated across our country," Baker said. "This is a huge step forward in our fight."
The state will be ready to move to the next phase of the distribution plan in the next few days, Baker said, with more details coming later this week.
