Man In Daycare Bathroom Hidden Cam Case Faces Child Porn Charges
Police say Darin McNeil placed a camera inside a bathroom at a Foxborough preschool and now he's facing new charges

TAUNTON, MA — A contractor already facing charges for allegedly placing a hidden camera inside a bathroom in a Foxborough preschool was arrested on child pornography charges.
Police say 48-year-old Darin McNeil attempted to burn his computers to destroy evidence that he possessed the illegal content. He was arraigned in Taunton District Court Thursday, according to WFXT.
Police say there were tipped off about child pornography evidence in the backyard of McNeil's Taunton home and were able to obtain a search warrant by Wednesday night. Police allegedly found SD memory cards and thumb drives with girls as young as 6 years old. Other evidence was allegedly found in a fire pit, where McNeil attempted to burn his computers. Police found computer components, motherboards, DVD cases, hard drive cases, and melted medal in the pit.

In mid-May, McNeil was arrested after an employee at the Learning Experience on Main Street after an employee found a shiny object in a hat placed on a shelf across from a toilet in a staff bathroom. Once officers were given the item, it was determined that it was an audio and video recorder with a small USB connection that is designed to look like a pen, according to a police report.

Video from the pen allegedly showed a Learning Experience employee in the bathroom and a man placing the device where it was found. The man was identified as McNeil, an electrician who was hired to do some work at the daycare.
Once McNeil was identified as the man in the video, police questioned him when he arrived at the daycare later in the day. McNeil allegedly told police, "I know you would be coming for me," according to the police report. When asked to clarify what he meant, he said, "I had a pen," before admitting to placing the pen in the restroom.
McNeill was ordered held on $15,000 cash bail. If he posts bail, he must wear a GPS bracelet and can have no possession of any electronic devices.
