Registration Open for Harvard Pilgrim Finish at the 50

A portion of the proceeds benefits One Mission, a pediatric cancer support foundation that offers immediate relief to children with cancer.

From Patriot Place: The eighth annual Harvard Pilgrim Finish at the 50 road races and fireworks show will be held on Monday, July 3, at Patriot Place and Gillette Stadium to benefit One Mission, a pediatric cancer support foundation. As part of the charitable partnership, a portion of the proceeds from each race entry will be donated to One Mission to assist in offering immediate relief to children with cancer and their families.

“We are honored to welcome back One Mission as our race beneficiary and again align Finish at the 50 with such an impactful organization,” said Patriot Place General Manager Brian Earley. “Running a road race for a cause makes crossing the finish line all the more rewarding and we look forward to the runners at this year’s race events coming together to help One Mission do whatever it takes to get kids through cancer.”

“We are so grateful to Harvard Pilgrim Finish at the 50 for donating a portion of the proceeds from the road race to One Mission,” said Ashley Haseotes, co-founder of One Mission. “Each day, 43 kids are diagnosed with cancer and their lives are instantly changed forever. Whether it’s decorating a hospital room, providing art kits and crafts, or putting on birthday parties, we aim to make the kids’ stays at the hospital a little brighter.”

Families can watch the fireworks show throughout Patriot Place’s North Marketplace or from the parking lots around Patriot Place.

“This is a must-run race for anyone who has ever dreamed of running out of the tunnel at Gillette Stadium and onto the home turf of the five-time Super Bowl champion New England Patriots,” said Earley. “We are thrilled to partner with Harvard Pilgrim Health Care for an eighth consecutive year and continue the tradition of kicking off the Fourth of July in true patriotic fashion while celebrating health, wellness and community.”

As the event’s title sponsor, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care has positively impacted race participants, its members and the public through its mission to improve the quality and value of health care in the communities it serves.

“Finish at the 50 is one of the healthiest family- and community-oriented events around and we are pleased to sponsor it for the eighth year,” said Eric H. Schultz, president and CEO of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. ”It is also wonderful to be able to support One Mission in its important work helping children with cancer and their families.”

Leading up to race day, Patriot Place will again host a variety of free family activities and the event’s annual Expo on Saturday, July 1 and Sunday, July 2. For more information, visit www.patriot-place.com.
