Richard Joseph Callahan Dies at 69; Leaves Family in Foxborough
Richard Joseph Callahan, formerly of Foxborough, passed away on March 22. Callahan spent his entire career in sales and marketing, starting in sales and ending in management. The bulk of his career was at Texas Instruments in Waltham.

Richard J. Callahan, 69, of Campton, N.H. and Hilton Head Island, S.C., formerly of Canton and Foxborough, died peacefully at home on March 22, 2013 surrounded by family and friends.
Callahan spent his entire career in sales and marketing, starting in sales and ending in management. The bulk of his career was at Texas Instruments in Waltham and Nova CTI in Cambridge.
He enjoyed golf, tennis, walking on the beach and working on projects around the house and in his yard. Going to Hilton Head, S.C. was his favorite place to be during retirement. He loved being a member of the Country Club of Hilton Head Plantation and spent his days there surrounded by his friends.

His particular favorite was “Trivia Night” where he impressed all with his quick wit and amazing recall of facts. Honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps, he loved spending time with his Marine Corps buddies and being close enough to visit Parris Island.
Callahan is survived by his wife Marianne “Mike” (Bottorf) Callahan and his mother Margaret (Clement). Devoted father of Sean Callahan and his wife Courtney of Norwood, Peter Callahan and his wife Jodi of Pembroke and Carrie Callahan of Foxborough.

Beloved grandfather of Dylan, Aidan, Logan, Shane and Caitlin. Brother of Paul and his wife Margaret “Peggie” Callahan of Foxborough and the late Alice M. Rohm. Uncle of Timothy and Stephen Callahan of Foxborough and Michele Faiella and her husband Jim of South Attleboro. Brother-in-law of Susan Jackson and her husband David of Borrego Springs, Calif.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 beginning at 8 a.m. at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., Foxborough, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 58 Carpenter St., Foxborough. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Foxborough. Following the interment, relatives and friends are kindly invited to return with the family for a celebration of Richards’s life at the Foxborough Country Club.
