Tom Brady Was Playing Through 2 Injuries: Report

Brady didn't quite look like himself at times, especially in December. It could have partially been because of these injuries.

Tom Brady was reportedly suffering through two injuries throughout the season. The Patriots quarterback dealt with tennis elbow and a bad foot late in the year, according to the NFL Network.

It's not uncommon in the NFL for injuries to come to light at the end of a season. The elbow ailment was suspected for Brady, who often was seen trying to loosen it up in practice and had a wrap on his throwing elbow after the Chiefs game in early December. He was listed on the injury report with an elbow at times.

The foot injury was previously unknown, though Brady was also on the injury report with a toe injury in December. It's not clear when exactly he suffered the injury.

Brady's December was one of his worst months statistically, something that makes more sense when you factor in the injuries for the 42-year-old.

Brady didn't miss a snap due to injury all season. While those specific injuries aren't likely to carry into next season — if there is a next season — playing football in your 40s lends itself to some more bumps and bruises than usual.
