Board of Health Public Hearing - Private Well Regulations At the December 6, 2021 Board of Health (BOH) meeting, starting at 7:00pm, the BOH will be asking for input on the updated draft of the Private Well Regulations.

The Board of Health has revised these regulations to be up to date with the most recent public health standards. The last revision occurred in July of 1990, since then the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection regulations have significantly changed. 

The updated regulation will be more protective to the public than the original regulation. It will also add legal language in regards to hearings, variances, and a fine structure that will adhere to the way the Town currently conducts business. 

It is important to note this regulation will effect anyone installing a new private well on their property and does not effect previous wells installed in compliance with the old regulation. 

Comments can be submitted to the Health Department ahead of time by emailing BoardofHealth@foxboroughma.gov and interested parties may comment at the December 6, 2021 Public Hearing beginning at 7:00pm.
